OUTMODE is a Floridian who crafts some of the finest techno in the basement-noise/electronic weirdo scene, dark and minimal tracks which seem to menacingly stalk from room to room in search of prey. This track is a sleek and stark affair, with a good bit of pressure provided by a persistent clap & crash work-out. This will nestle nicely into your animal brain right between the claustrophobic atmospheres of the Sandwell District label and the lo-fi analog-drum worship of some L.I.E.S. artists. Not sure on exactly which MORE RECORDS tape this track could be found (he runs the label though, so really, they’re ALL his tapes – ed.), but hell man I’d grip this on wax now that we’re talking formats… true ripper style here.
OUTMODE plays the Hassle & Open Loop’s monthly night: SCANNERS – (9/11) “Inside Knob Edition” w/ PROFLIGATE & VIA APP @ Club Bohemia in Central Sq.
