As the final days of the Trump administration approach, it is more important than ever to double down on the spirit of protest and social change 2020 showed us was possible. It may be more comfortable for many to resign themselves to living in the phony neoliberal oasis Biden has promised us, but recent history has shown such complacency will be sure to deliver us to the end stages of late-stage capitalism. With these sentiments in mind and heart, The Boston Hassle is holding a call for artwork made in the spirit of continued activism, protest, and solidarity with marginalized communities, with an exhibit to open on Inauguration Day. Given the Covid-19 situation, this exhibit will be presented digitally, with short interviews of the participating artists supplementary to their work. All mediums welcome, 2d, 3d, and time-based. Please send proposed images and pertinent text to [email protected] by January 10, 2021, with participating artists to be announced January 19, 2021.
