Future Negation is the debut release from Neutral Fixation II, the new incarnation of one of western Mass’ favorite semi-active psyched-out hardcore acts. II shifts the focus, and the lineup, of Neu Fix away from hardcore and into imrpov noise rock t(h)rash. Their sound is more in line with Dunk Tank, albeit less eclectic and more accessible in their approach to improv, than with their namesake with Neu Fix II coming closer to no wave. The end product becomes something like a mashup between Neu Fix and The Sediment Club. Step to it. Future Negation is available from the band’s bandcamp.

Meanwhile, Neutral Fixation’s Gestation Primer, collecting the title track and two EPs, was briefly available from the Psyched On High webstore (and may still be available somewhere?), so keep your eyes peeled for any future offerings from I as well as II.
