Finishing 2017 strong, Polish label The Child With No Name dropped an essential single-sided 7” from Japan’s noisecore greats Napalm Death Is Dead. After a brief hiatus, the duo returned a couple years ago and have been more productive than ever. The band features noisecore stalwart and Shit-Eye Cassettes label-head Ucchy of Cunts – who along with Spacegrinder and Penis Geyser set off last year on one of the greatest tours of our generation. Meat Of Slave finds Napalm Death Is Dead putting forth one monstrous five-minute noisecore track in three movements – noise into sludge-thrash garbage before settling on a drum-and-bass noisegrind assault. This is ugly and essential. This is also a reminder to keep your eye on The Child With No Name who also released a killer Final Exit 7” last year and have a stellar selection of distro’d titles.
