MINI-INTERVIEW: TRUMAN PEYOTE // GO TO: TONITE(9/2) @ Whitehaus: Truman Peyote/Emily Reo/Birthdays/High Sea/Philip Seymour Hoffman/Mutual Benefit

A Bodies of Water Show…
9/2 @ Whitehaus
Jamaica Plain, MA

The FMLY Showcase w/
Truman Peyote, Emily Reo, BIRTHDAYS, Mutual Benefit, Phillip Seymour Hoffman

TONIGHT(9/2) we have the RETURN of former major Boston playa
TRUMAN PEYOTE to these parts. I’m pretty sure this is
the man’s first show back since he left for the wester coast.

He brings with him his funky sack of glitched and screwed beats and pop

hooks that flow over them like really expensive brand soda pop.
His arrival signals the passing through of the FMLY Collective ‘s
(great LA and beyond art crew) ongoing voyage around this America.
And he shares this bill with FMLY members & friends: Emily Reo(whose classic
dream pop stylings are doing it for us), Philip Seymour Hoffman, Mutual Benefit,
High Sea, and Birthdays(new electropop glimmer heros of New England). This
show is @ JP’s wonderful and famed WHITEHAUS.

how’s LA?
1) LA is a dream dude, everything and more than i ever expected.

is this your first time back in boston since moving? how’s it feel?2) yeah last time is was here was for a few days at the end of april, but I’ve literally been in LA all summer. was hard coming back to a hurricane after not seeing a drop of rain for 4 months, and I REALLY don’t miss mosquitos.

what has been influencing you/your music lately?
3) my best friends jake and miles released a record recently under the moniker SLYY, all I can listen to. oh yeah and the new shlohmo kicks serious ass!

do you have any recordings coming out?
4) I have a full length LP “Journey” on the way. super secret though, but I can tell you it will be on 12″ vinyl through a wicked awesome california based label sometime in january.

why should people come see you play @ the Whitehaus tonight?

5) because all the east coast FMLY is converging and we want to hug everyone! I’ll be jamming with some random gear so we’ll see how that goes
