Milk Spot – “American Lifeform”

by

Hailing from Fort Lauderdale, Milk Spot is a self-proclaimed “dairy punk” band that manages to take the more than ample sound of arena rock and compress it to irresistibly dirty garage punk.

In “American Lifeform,” a track off their upcoming album, Hetero-Flexible, Milk Spot introduces an apocalyptic element that puts you on edge. There is a hypnotic four chord progression that evokes a feeling of uneasiness as it marches behind the equally as spellbinding vocals. Though there is something distinctly punk about the song due to its potent directness, there’s also something undeniably futuristic about it. It’s upbeat, almost dance-y, but dark enough that you’re convinced that Milk Spot is predicting the human race’s doomsday…or perhaps just playing some rock ‘n’ roll.

Either way, Milk Spot shreds, questions, and hypnotizes with their catchy and innovative punk sound, which will be able to be heard in its full glory when Hetero-Flexible is released on January 11 on Cheap Miami Records.
