“We like pop, we like soul, we like rock, but we never liked disco.” As a young Everclear devotee, I took these words seriously sixteen years ago, yet I’ve since come around. Luke Reed’s “Don’t Love Me” is a good example of why. Inhabiting the murky interface between thick, bass-laden house-meets-disco and gauzy chillwave, “Don’t Love Me” is one of those great dance songs that would play in the wee hours of the morning, yet remain forever unknown since it’s lyric-less and un-Shazamable.
Fear not, though– check out “Don’t Love Me” streaming below. And check out the rest of Luke Reed (Feral Jenny, Fedavees, Bent Shapes)’s music on his Soundcloud page.
