New album from the man behind the Fresh & Onlys, and thus another great San Francisco band. And it’s not tooooo far off from that band. We have lovely dances around many different pop tropes here, with awesome backup female vocals all over the place. This is a gentle record, evoking a more 60s jangle pop influenced Magnetic Fields. Dramatic and beautiful whether using synths or jangling guitars. Another win for the Captured Tracks label. And a very fun listen.
