The Babies have a lot of potential, as evidenced by their recently released self-titled album. The group is a mix of members from Woods and Vivian Girls. The album consists of ten songs that range from lo-fi and very garage, to something that is a bit more folksy and indie. It’s a solid listen, packed tightly with lo-fi distortion and catchy choruses. The songs follow mostly the same formula (songs under three minutes, the same sound and tonality). It’s safe to say that if that’s what you’re into, The Babies have championed the sound.
