LISTEN TO: PC WORSHIP

by

PC WORSHIP hails from NYC and is a sunburned, fried out, noise rock, psychedelic, sludge pop feast of sounds, melodies, and grooves bent on delighting your sub-senses in ways that you may have deemed unimaginable, but in reality, are very imaginable. A rotating cast of characters fill the void of main man Justin Frye’s bitten sonic world view. He himself has played in and with groups like Teeth Mountain, the Dan Deacon Ensemble, Gary War, etc. Warped musical visions seldom come as digestable as this, and you will thank me later for adjusting your headset to take in what this is. I hope this doesn’t get taken the wrong way, but PC WORSHIP keeps reminding me of BECK during his most fried early and B side moments. BECK was awesome for a time, and that time is what I compare this awesome band to. That is all on that. From the most recent 7″ we have (LIVE REDUXION on SHDWPLY), which you can listen to below, the track “Wake Up In The Dark” embodies much of what PC WORSHIP is about. A droning rocker, all fuzzed out, catchy as hell, pulsing with grime, and leading into a saxaphone meltdown. Yes. Find this gang playing with wreckless tuneful crack pop buds Needy Visions and Life Partners @ Charlie’s kitchen in Cambridge next monday, may 14th.
