LEAGUES is new band lurking around Boston. Deb Nicholson, who used to put on awesome shows as Eximious Productions, is singing and she’s backed by some loud nasty dudes(girl dudes, dude dudes, I just don’t know). Definitely 90s rockness going on, things getting almost “mathy” at times but steering safely enough clear. The vocals veer between twee and screamed, and it works pretty well. I look forward to seeing them playing with the likes of Skimask, Gondoliers, Arvid Noe, or Magic People.
