Reverby bored vocals power pop. Sweet melodies. Nothing too fancy, just doing it right and letting it ride. Mid tempo stomp that I’m sure is awesome live, and really comes across on record as well. This is well treaded territory but HEAVY TIMES makes it their own for sure with some interesting chord shuffling, cool guitar tones, some weird organ, and an attitude I can get with. 7″ kills, as do the other tracks on their site below. This gang’s from Chicago, and we here @ BOW were supposed to do a show for them some months ago, but I’m not sure what happened. They probably ended up playing @ TTs, on a bill with some folk bands, playing to 4 people. Or maybe they didn’t, I dunno. Record out on HoZac, and Rotted Tooth Recordings.
