Swiss early 80s new wavish synth pop with a real noisy streak, mostly German language vocals, and enough strange electronic sounds to keep you interested. They put out a few singles and one album. The compilation(download below) DIE SUNRISE TAPES collects their output. It veers back and forth from overtly pop to more challenging rhythm based dance tracks. At times they even shove the guitar to the forefront(with less success). Joy Division influence is very apparent on some tunes. “MOSKAU”‘s driving synth bass, and plenty of other moments throughout serve as fine nails to hang the Cold Wave tag on. Some very fun tunes, especially their hit, “Eisbar.”
