Edmonton, Alberta, Canada drops these dudes off at our doorstep and what we have is some jangly garage business with some serious driving beats. Velvet Underground vibe at times for sure, with some West African records in the record collection also. Lead guitars wander around rhythmic riffage and there’s also some vocals giving us more attitude than melody, but it all sounds good, and it all sounds really fun. There’s also a few tracks that get into more of an acoustic fried punk stomp thing, and these could even be the best songs. Melody comes out more here. “Macaroni Makeout Party” with it’s oohs and catchy chorus, and despite it’s title is the best song off their 7″, DOING WHAT I WANT EP, and is indicative of this fried acoustic punk thing they have happening. 7″ is out on TOTALLY DISCONNECTED, and there’s also a tape available!
