Do you miss those cool girls from Mika Miko now that they broke up? Check out the Clavin sisters’s new project, Bleached. The two blur the lines between The Smell’s beach-punk sensibilities with their own lazy brand of girl group melodies. The first release is “Think of You”, a 7” off Art Fag that has dreamy dueling vocals, a fierce riff reminiscent of their past work, and a chorus that would make their ex-bandmates jealous. The girls may have calmed down since Mika Miko, but their old fiery energy remains — only this time it’s cleaned up and laid back.
