Since the band’s release of GB City, I’ve been told repeatedly to listen to Bass Drum of Death. Well, I finally got my paws on the album, and I’m kicking myself for not listening to them sooner. I can already tell that this album is going to chronicle my summer. Bass Drum of Death is loud, fun garage rock. They keep it simple, and that’s why it’s so great – this is some no-frills rock n’ roll that has achieved the perfect equilibrium in terms of vocals, drums, and guitar. I can’t wait to check out their live show. Until then, I’ll be listening to this album on repeat.
