Latishia’s Skull Drawing is a new hardcore band out of Providence, RI and Philly, PA featuring 3/4s of The Ukiah Drag and Matt Adis (of Salvation) on vocals. Slime punk by way of MGHC, the bands mix of gruff vocals, feedback-y guitar, and midtempo riffs galore will make this your new favorite band. The weirdness of Cottaging is still there but pushed into uglier (and hardcore) territory, like Nos Bos or Black Panties mixed with Youth Attack Records. The track “Bloody Trauma” could be Demonbrother if they became an AmRep band. Perfect music for melting your cassettes and huffing the fumes. With an auspicious start, Latishia’s Skull Drawing should be a band to watch in 2015. There’s a demo coming soon and a handful of shows in the Northeast coming up in the next month.
