Freaking delicious pair of new tracks from Boston’s LANE. These guys are stained by the strategies of quite a number of the Boston area’s best indie-cum-underground rock bands. But I’ve gone into that previously. They are untethered to any of that anyway at this point. Glistening. Glittering. Sequin rock for the nihilists. Bernie rock for the Bernie rockers. There are a lot of mantles that this music could take on. And that correct one? Only you will decide dear listener. Beat the streets and find the nearest hovel that LANE is playing in and jump in.
A beastly rhythm section keeps things propulsive as anything on both tracks. “Permanent Daylight” gets to me further though. I’m feeling those shimmering guitars on my skin. And that damn beat! Guitar interjections are eye opening. NIRVANA and RYAN POWER vibes felt. Give it to me. Ahh so you have. So you have. Full length record forthcoming on ILLEGALLY BLIND.
