KINDLING — SUNSPOTS

by

“You guys wanna hear some shoegaze? You wanna hear shoegaze, yeah? Okay, this is shoegaze.”

Neither member of Easthampton, MA’s Kindling ever actually said that, but that’s because they don’t need to. As dreamy but heavy guitars wash over silvery vocals on “Sunspots”, Kindling gets to the root of what shoegaze is: music with some intangible, fantastical quality that gives you so many feels you need to look down at your shoes for a minute to take it all in. Also, if the first five seconds don’t make you shout “My Bloody Valentine!” you need to do some YouTubing and get your alt-rock education on.

Sunspots is a track off the forthcoming Spike and Wave 7″ to be released via Moon Sounds Records.
