Leave me alone. JIB KIDDER is the topic at hand. JIB. TEASPOON TO THE OCEAN is JIB KIDDER’s new album. It follows in the wake of one of my absolute favorite records of 2014 (even though it came out in 2013, I was slow to the draw), simply called IV (read my enthusiasm here).Hopefully I will get my mitts on the entire album soon, but for now, let’s stab away at a single track form the album that is available. “Appetites” is the track, one of the multitude from the new record out on WEIRD WORLD. Live band features Christina and Zach from CE SCHNEIDER TOPICAL. This track is a gorgeous droning, shimmering pop thing. Swirling guitars, JULIA HOLTER vocals, those epic programmed drum machine parts. Do you not like this? Do you really? So excited to hear this whole album. There is a proper video for another of this album’s tracks called “In Between,” which if given the opportunity I will go on about soon. I promise. JIB KIDDER.
