More doom drenched death metal from right here in Boston from Justin DeTore (of too many Boston metal and hc bands to mention). Innumerable Forms is already at the front of the heaviest bands in all of New England line and this two song EP does nothing to change their place in this mystical line. DESPOTIC RULE was supposed to come out as a European tour cassette. But fucking plague and all.

This is the direct follow up to the evil as all hell 2018 full length debut by the band, PUNISHMENT IN FLESH (Profound Lore). And while we await another full length overflowing with this kind of pinnacle Bostonian take on aural glacial turpitude, these two tracks will have to do. “Philosophical Collapse” rips a little more of the two I think, but the riff of “Despotic Rule” keeps appearing like a phantom in my head, and the guitar solo @ the end is the most unhinged found here, so I’ll lean toward the latter as my favorite. But how can you go wrong when both tracks just make you want to drop the final nuke on all of humanity??? Bafflingly good. Tape out on the esteemed Iron Lung records.
