Honey Radar — The Rabbit’s Voice 7″

by

The next time you complain about defending the legitimacy of Boston’s music scene to folks from bigger/”more exciting” cities, consider what people from Indianapolis might have to deal with. Smack in between Chicago and the mysterious, foreign-seeming (at least to us New Englanders) South, we all kind of wonder what goes on in the urban center of corn country. The short answer: Honey Radar.

The Rabbit’s Voice is a slice of fuzzy, jangly ‘70s psych—born in 2015, of course. Seven short and sunny (if sometimes barely comprehensible) tracks compose this 7″ release, which could be a not-so-distant cousin of anything White Fence has ever released. It’s music to open your windows to, paint your nails to, drink a shitty beer at the end of the day to; really, it’s music to do whatever the hell you want to, which is the beauty of this jangly, no-frills kind of rock.

Stream The Rabbit’s Voice, co-released by What’s Your Rupture? and Third Uncle below. If you dig, check out Honey Radar’s other releases on Bandcamp.
