What came first—the chicken, or the egg? You could ask the same thing about this new video from the Grand Rapids, Michigan garage-rockers Heaters—which came first, the vintage dance clips or the song “Levitate Thigh”?

Okay, so it’s pretty clear that the two sixties-era clips used for the video predate “Levitate Thigh” by a long shot, since the song is featured on Heater’s Mean Green/Levitate Thigh 7″ out April 28 from Beyond Beyond is Beyond Records. But they’re synced so perfectly to this psychedelic garage-pop track that it seems like the videos and song could have been created for one another. This may be one of the best, if simplest, vids of the year so far—definitely check it. (The similarly themed video for “Mean Green” is just as good.)
