First up are garage psych gropers and Hassle favs THE NEW HIGHWAY HYMNAL, crashing down like a bolt of blue lightning to electrify your limbs and boil your brain. Next to the plate are Providence’s THE SILKS, channeling that fast and loose low-down Rock’n’Roll blues your parents knocked boots to. Fast on their heels are Boston’s COYOTE KOLB who intertwine an almost kletzmer rhythme and other far-off influences into a colorful tapestry of burnt-out blues. Finally fellow locals THE FAMILY TOWNSHIP will come out to calm the nerves and massage the ears with their sonic feast of deep fried americana hooks. On a golden summer evening like this, there’s nothing better but to smell the sweet breeze, grab a pint and cool out at this straight-up no-apologies fandango of a rock show.
