That frenzied nest of dilapidated musical dens we call Allston is bustling as always, anxious to celebrate the return of the holy weekend . And what better way to do it than with a fine gathering of local garage rock goons. YOUNG ADULTS are prepared to lead a dance thrasher with some very loud and very heavy pop-punk riffage stretched and twisted over crashing drums that just wont quit. Their substantial sound is balanced by the lightness and bittersweetness of jangly beach poppers ORCA ORCA. Bridging the gap between these two strangeley complimentary extremes lie the other three acts. COURTERS don’t mess around with their bluesy raw garage bangers. DIG SAFE rock out with no frills but plenty of attitude -in true 90’s alternative spirit. ELEPHANTS make hearts swoon with their fuzzy mellow ditties full of wet guitar licks layered with acoustic strumming. There is something for everyone at this show, so what are you waiting for? Close your eyes, take a dive, and swim carefree in the sonic stew that is Allston Village.
