This summer is shaping up to be a hot one, not so much because of the funky weather, but rather because there are so many damn fine acts burning it up around town. We all frequently have the happy burden of deciding what show to see, which to miss, but allow us to make your decisions for you this time, for tonight you must come to the Great Scott. ATL goddesses the Coathangers are coming up to show us a grippin’ good time with their grungy garage pop ditties. They’ll find some sonic sisters in Somerville darlings Fat Creeps, who have torn it up all around town lately with their fresh jams that are simultaneously disaffectedly too-cool and touchingly earnest. But the real heat waves will be comin hard and fast from local legends Skimask, who never fail to smash a few heads with their unchained noise rawk machine. And don’t forget punky poppers Casanovas in Heat, who know only too well how to get the party started with their loud no nonesense riffs. Let your hair down and pull your socks up with these four fantastic bands and a bevy of positive vibes down at Great Scott in Allston ce soir.
