Yesterday was a sneak peak of holy summer, but tonight heavy ominous clouds are forming over Fenway in Boston, where three troupes of dark rock bandits shall converge at Church for a psychedelic seance of brooding drones and ripping riffs. LA-based SPINDRIFT, a motley crew of rotating psych heads including veterans of Brian Jonestown Massacre, the Warlocks, Psychic TV and more, shall come to blaze a open trail to that lonely, heroic future with their expansive take on Far-Out West undead cowboy rock. STRANGERS FAMILY BAND are from the muggy swamps of Orlando but sound straight outta 1969 with those classic organ rhymths, cavalier attitude and a fistful of electric guitar licks dripping with lysergic juices. Not to be outdone, Boston’s favorite ghouls GHOST BOX ORCHESTRA will come to obliterate our last shred of hope and goodwill with their extended monster jams full of bone crushing bass and celestial hooks. These dark riders shall surely mix their seductive devil sounds, swirling them together to form a hazy disorienting bog to trap lost souls and transport them to another world, where the music never sleeps.
