A nice down-home night of folk with a dash of the weird over at The Aviary in JP tonight. East Coast fingerpickin’ master Daniel Bachman whips up a melancholic storm every time he touches a guitar, and tonight he’s sure to make it rain instrumental manna from the sky; Sophie Dickinson plays a heavenly harp with some tapes and techniques for an experimental edge that makes her unlike any harpist you’ve seen; and a couple Whitehaus evergreens round out the bill – folk legend Arkm Foam makes noises and movements of all sizes and shapes and no one can ever predict it, and Pancho The Kid sings his heart out into soulful melodies to wash all your worries away. Get to this one early, ’cause it’ll be over by 11:00.
