In just a year of existence, local club night/label JASS has made an undeniable imprint on the Boston/Cambridge electronic dance scene. Strongly influenced by the west-coast future beat scene (specifically LA’s Low End Theory) the kids at JASS have done a heroic job of cultivating some of Boston’s most talented and experimental new producers and DJs, and injected some much needed innovation and excitement into our town’s largely beleaugured and boring club life. Celebrate the products of their massive effort TONIGHT with some of JASS genre-jumping acrobats, including sitar lovin beat alchemist TIME WHARP, cosmic IDM/house head FENS, jazz-hopper GONJA, as well as LA’s trap star DJEMBA DJEMBA. The indisputalbe star of tonight’s show however is Ghostly Intl‘s SHIGETO, whose precision live drums carry intricate electronics to ecstatic heights.
