Jennifer’s Body is a more violent precursor to 2022’s My Best Friend’s Exorcism, since it’s also a film about a high school student who becomes possessed, though in this one, there is also a killing spree involved. Jennifer prods her nerdy best friend Anita to go to a bar to attend a concert by an indie band. After a fire breaks out, something’s a bit off about Jennifer, and Anita, known as Needy, is determined to get to the bottom of it.
Starring Megan Fox and Amanda Seyfried, it’s now viewed as a feminist cult classic. It’s a good candidate for a midnight screening, and despite its subject matter is worthy of a deeper look.
