Awwwwww yeah it’s that time of year again! Get your groovy bones wobbling and shake your way down to Pinebank Field on Jamaica Pond to let the good vibes consume you this afternoon. It’s a celebration of all the artistic splendor that has blessed this cozy town and it’s the perfect way to spend a sunny afternoon. Jamaica Plain Music Festival 2012 cranks the love up to 11 with an absolutely killer lineup of JP musicians with highlights including the dreamy guitar jangles and dual harmonies of GRACIOUS CALAMITY, layer upon psychedelic layer of buzzsaw synth pop rawks thanks to STREIGHT ANGULAR, FULLY CELEBRATED crashing through the trees with their black-hole jungle jazz and local busy bodies NEEDY VISIONS unleashing a maelstrom of fun — and that is only the very tip of this very funkaaaay iceberg. Many more oufits will take the stage over the course of the afternoon plus local donors, sponsors, and other community homies will be setting up a killer bazaar on the green. Get there at noon and plan to chill all day. Best leave the car at home because parking will be scarce as dodo eggs no doubt. ALL AGES AND TOTALLY FREE! Support your local artistic community and come out for some rockin’ tunes, killer food, and even a few bear hugs. No excuses for missing this one!
