New York’s NORMAL LOVE is an ecstatic burst of thunder, primal forces channeled through blaring guitar distortion into cascading waves of pure dissonant noise that frequently descends into distraught pummeling of post-punk funk. They’re currently touring to promote their delicious new record Survival Tricks (Public Eyesore) so don’t forget to cop a copy. Fellow NYCers BEES harness a similar array of sounds, but construe them in a more bouncy tempo. Local favorites GUERILLA TOSS, who have a new LP ‘Jefferey Johnson’ coming soon off Feeding Tube, will do their disturbing dirty hypnotic jam thang. FAT HISTORY MONTH, who always deliver the smooth broken blues grooves, and BShoppe’s dark psych droners HOT TUB PANORAMA round out a night that’s sure to delight.
