Melting faces as usual is the RECORD HOSPITAL FEST 2012, the yearly celebration of all things noise-rock by our friends down at the Record Hospital, part of WHRB 95.3 Harvard Radio. The first day of this two-part marathon is for the true shredders out there, its some serious heavy, angry, distorted violence in the form of sound waves – Bass-and-drum earthcrushers WATER TORTURE (NY), furious thrashmonkeys WHITE GUILT (NY), pissy screech brats CASSILIS (PA), local garage riffers APE UP!, the blinding speed and force of FREE BEER, the grip-tape skater punk slap of WHEEL BITE, lush walls of noise from DREAM WARRIOR, and the blistering hardcore sludge of HEDGE FUND. Get your knees crushed and yer ears broken like all the kids do and come get dirty for a bunch of awesome powerviolent punkcore starting at 4pm @Democracy Center in Cambridge, $10 for one night and $15 for both.
