As a country with two coasts, it’s all too easy to forget that there’s a lot going on in the middle, too. Case in point: Kansas City has a thriving, if oft overlooked, music and arts scene. Enter Fullbloods, the Kansas City pop group that, on “New Generation,” could be Ryan Power’s spirit animal. Really, though, right down to the contemplative, dream-like vocals and synth hits, there’s more to compare than contrast. “New Generation” comes off the group’s forthcoming LP, Mild West, from High Dive Records.
