FRESH VID: THEE OH SEES “Minotaur”

by

Among the finest garage rock and psych-pop purveyors of the here and now and the last bunch of whenever are of course San Fransisco’s THEE OH SEES, featuring that musical renaissance man of Providence, RI, John Dwyer. Album after album have come and album after album have strengthened this notion. In a world of underground pop music lost beneath effects pedals and cowering from interesting songwriting THEE OH SEES have proudly stood over the years serving as a pillar of the grand underground rock times that San Fransisco still appears to be experiencing. It has come to our attention that a new work by this pop band, that you ought to be paying attention to even if you’re a jaded jerk, will be coming into existence later this month. The new record by THEE OH SEES is called FLOATING COFFIN, and the video below is for the song from that album called “Minotaur.” It’s a strings heavy, cooed background vocals indie rock style pop song, and it’s great. Chord hits and background vocals the whole way, no freakouts, just a chill tune over a nice little riff. Dwyer’s own (sick) label CASTLE FACE will release the record.
