Electronic duo SONNYMOON just released a new video for ‘Just Before Dawn,’ the epic closer to their debut eponymous full length. The track opens quietly, with disparate synth pulses forming a semblance of a beat to back singer Anna Wise’s delicate, soulful croon. This minimalism opens into a symphonic flourish of violin strings, nuanced percussion and flurry of electronic succor that fills the ears with a quiet, bittersweet uplifting feeling. Short clips of people moving about their lives – pedestrian glimpse of everyday beauty – are interspersed with vibrant abstract shapes to form a loose visual narrative that highlights the humanity of Sonnymoon’s music, breathing life through and enhanced by their warm electronic compositions. Look out for more from these two soon.
