Boston’s own psychedelic folk rock specialists QUILT have once more appeared upon the horizon looking to show you what they next have in store. And it goes like this: a new record called HELD IN SPLENDOR shall be released by fine purveyors of the underground pop, MEXICAN SUMMER, in January of 2014. An initial offering has sprouted from this future record, a song called “Artic Shark.” A perfect 2 minute something nugget of intertwining guitar and vocal melodies, backed by hushed oohs, a steady beat, and some fine jangling guitar sounds. QUILT just played our NEW ENGLAND UNDERGROUND MUSIC FEST and they were just lovely as usual. Catch them out on the road with fellow New Englanders (and label mates) HAPPY JAWBONE FAMILY BAND.
