Mario Hernandez is back with a new KIDS ON A CRIME SPREE 7″ out on the legendary SLUMBERLAND RECORDS. Hernandez and band, based out of Oakland last I checked, are known for their jangly 60s pop on through power-pop moves and here’s another solid jam to add to their pile. “Creep the Creeps” is all hand claps and classic pop moves, with the right amount of originality in the melody and arrangement to keep it interesting even for someone who has delved deeply into this stuff. If you like well done pop rock at all, it’s pretty hard not to like this. There’s probably a new full length on the way when 7″s with videos start popping up.
