Since 1995, Jefre Cantu-Ledesma has been a fixture in the experimental music community, both as a member of improvisational post-rock group Tarental and founder of eminent ambient/drone label Root Strata. Under his own name, Cantu-Ledesma releases calming compositions of shimmering synths that play languidly, delayed keys rippling out atop placid pools. Delicate strains of broken melodies trickle down warm wallpaper drones swelling with reverb.
