It’s totally not possible for me to fully express my undying love and admiration for JACUZZI BOYS. The first time I heard “NO SEASONS” I was completely unaware that they are from Miami, yet I remember feeling this intense vibe of sunshine and palm trees. Listening to the guitar and vocals, so sweetly cocooned in reverb, feels like living in slow motion on a beach with a drink in your hand, but the energy and swagger of the rhythm section snaps you back to a fast paced reality. If ever a band sounded like a place and state of mind, it’s these guys.

It took me a few listens to fully dig their second album “GLAZIN”, but even after hearing the first track for the first time I knew they were onto something, I just didn’t know what yet. A whole lot more structured and polished, this album takes what they do to another level. Excellent songwriting and clever details make this an all time favorite of mine, a perfect follow-up to their first release. Let it be known that I am jumping out of my goddamn skin anticipating the release of their next album, I can’t wait to put it in my ears, but for now I will continue to listen to everything else they’ve released to date on constant repeat. VIVA JACUZZI BOYS!
