NJ’s DUCKTAILS have come a ways from the days of trance inducing summery psych jams released on labels like Massachusetts’ own (seemingingly defunct, correct me if I’m wrong) BREAKING WORLD RECORDS. Now on the UK’s DOMINO RECORDS, and appearing to be less of a solo project than ever, they are in straight up pop territory on the new release THE FLOWER LANE. A record just chock full shimmering, chill jams riding atop a somewhat darker undercurrent, it features contributions from BIG TROUBLES and DAN LOPATIN. Vid below is for “Letter Of Intent” from the new record, a chilled funk-lite dream pop number that is as smooth as can be, and replete with endearingly strange moments like the brief synth melt interlude.
