Deep droney goodness for your Friday night courtesy of Date Palms latest, out now on Thrill Jockey. Repetitive, Sun Araw-style bass holds “Dusted Down” together, while violin, sitar, guitar, and organ drift through the arrangement. At times, the track’s reminds me more of Angels/Demons-era Earth than older Palms work, which is a great path for them to take. Watch Gregg Kowalsky and Marielle Jakobsons transform with the rest of the band into stoner-mandalas courtesy of live video effects below; pick up Dusted Sessions here.
