San Fran garage punks VIOLENT CHANGE released an 7″ EP called SUCK ON THE GUN a little ways back, and you will find sideways explorations into noise-pop and post-punk along the way, served up with their garage pop fare. This thing came out on the label MELTERS and it does a good job of covering both very pop oriented numbers and rawer noise punk jams over the course of its 4 songs. “Feeding In The Dark” is the pop standout here and it does a great job reminding me of GUIDED BY VOICES at their 2 minute pop nugget best.
