Uncle Boongy and His Bufu Nephews – “We’re Family Too”

by

Here’s a choice little nug from deep Jamaica Plain heads (members of Naga Gaga & Camp Hope) who have turned to making some whacked out, yet approachable pop sounds that provide vibes that are something like those given off by, say Quiet Hooves. BUFU Records put this out, and I’m not exactly sure of the hierarchy, or perhaps it is more apt to simply say “organizational structure”, over there but I think it is safe to say that Uncle Boongy and his nephews are involved with the label. “We’re Family Too” is a pretty catchy jam with some deep jangly guitars, trumpet, and some melodies I can dig into. I understand that these guys have recorded more tracks and will be releasing them sometime soon. So look out if these sounds do it for you!
