Early Italian prog ensemble Sensations Fix has a seminal place in record collector circles – primarily due of the wealth of break beats from from their first two LP’s, the entirely instrumental “Portable Madness” and “Fragments of Light.” There’s was an understated prog/kraut, lo-fi bludgeon- rich in personality, and as far as these things go, fairly light on the technicality. DJ Shadow even sampled a little late era ‘fix in 2002. It wasn’t until the “Finest Finger” LP, that de-facto band leader Franco Falsini tried his hand at vocals, and “Grow On You” is a prime melding of the lo-fi cardboard sound of the rhythm section and Falsini’s charming vocal delivery. This version appears on a reissue just out this fall from RVNG Intl
