Chicago’s QUICKSAILS is the analog synth project of Ben Baker Billington, drummer for the free jazz powerhouse Tiger Hatchery and the psych shredders Moonrises. His solo music is expansive kosmische with fantastic percussion tracks. Cassette releases on Digitalis, NNA, 905 Tapes & Pizza Night plus vinyl on Under The Spire and one on Spectrum Spools forthcoming called MAYVILLE DREAM. He plays in Allston tonight and it’s going to be an experience where you float along with jams like “Instuitute’s Innards” found below, blissed out electronics expanding and contracting atop skittering beats all looking up longingly at the beautifully melodic chem trail of some wondrous flying machine.
