PRETTY MONSTERS is an NYC, bassoon fronted ensemble playing experimental electro-acoustic music that drifts into post-punk and/or no wave moments here and there across their s/t debut out now on PUBLIC EYESORE RECORDS. Composer Katherine Young’s bassoon playing takes many forms and is on display in several affected states. Kind of bringing the bassoon to the huddled masses. Very cool sounds here.
