Motion Sickness of Time Travel – Oust

Rachel Evans has journeyed through the sands of eternity to deliver us Oust, the latest offering from her Motion Sickness of Time Travel project. Listeners are still treated to the expansive, tasteful vocal and synth arrangements used so well on Evans’ previous outings, mostly notably her massive self-titled double LP. On Oust, Evans extends her sound into more contemplative and moody clouds of unknowing. Part of the reason these recordings are so subtly thrilling is the sense of drifting detachment, especially on chilling standout “Rows of Peach Trees” and album closer “In Two Parts.” The cassette is sold out at the source, but stream below and pick up digitally here.
