HUGE FACE are a local power pop group in the vein of Weezer but with a personality and spirit all their own. Led by Whitehaus alum Shai Erlichman, this Jamaica Plain based band utilize compelling melodies that serve as the vehicle for a rising tide of eager ebullience. Quiet, personal reflections on love and life build into joyful stadium anthems. While the saccharine hooks are simple and indelibly catchy, Huge Face’s songs avoid the doldrums of expected redundancy with clever, varied compositions that evoke strong buoyant emotions. Like all great pop groups, Huge Face revel in the artifice of their pop structures, allowing the bold energy of their songs to sing through. Heavy riffs, pounding drums and ecstatic harmonies make for a tasty treat you can chew on all the day through.
