Years ago I saw a really terrib(ly amazing) video in a hotel room in Austin, TX that featured a clan of disturbed feral cavewomen shrieking and doing dirty things in front of a mars-like backdrop full of smoke machines and strobe lights. That is the most logical comparison i can draw to the musical stylings of the GARY WRONG GROUP. One part punk, one part drone, one part mindfuck, one part alien invasion, and one part doing too many mushrooms in the woods make up this somewhat dark and disturbing cluster-fuck of sound. Sometimes there’s structure, sometimes I wonder if they’re paying attention but they always somehow hit the nail on the head. If you listen to this for long stretches of time in a room by yourself you will feel like you’re going completely insane. That being said I highly recommend that you listen to absolutely everything this band has ever released and keep an eye out for their next release, a 45rpm 12″ out on TOTAL PUNK/JETH-ROW.
